The coin’s reverse features the revered American bison, standing on a mound of dirt, surrounded by the words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”, “E PLURIBUS UNUM” (“Out of many, one”), “IN GOD WE TRUST”, “$50”, “1 OZ”., and “.9999 FINE GOLD”.
This coin has a legal tender value of “$50 USD”, and is therefore backed by the US government.
